Client Problem

Our agency operates numerous IT devices, but we faced challenges in managing them. For instance, it often took time to identify what equipment we had, which device was the cause of an issue when one occurred, and where to find the equipment we were looking for.

We needed a system that could monitor the entire setup and quickly identify malfunctioning devices or faulty connections. We recognized the necessity of systematically managing various data such as rack layouts, equipment lists, connection diagrams, reports, and project documents by registering them in a system rather than on paper.

While searching for a suitable solution, we found that SecureLayer's IRIS4 met these requirements, and after reviewing it through demos and tests, we decided to implement it.

SecuLayer Solution

We updated the IT systems operating in approximately 140 server racks located in the IDC center to IRIS4. Information about each system, maintenance service providers, operational managers, and system locations were organized and visualized using IRIS4.

We established a management system for IT assets by systematizing technical support history, regular inspection history, and incident handling history.

We enabled the registration and deletion of IT assets individually or in bulk, allowing for systematic management of the history of new and replacement equipment.

Deployment Effect

Previously, the IT assets were not updated, leading responsible personnel to manage information about IT equipment sporadically using Excel sheets or handwritten notes. Routine tasks alone required significant work resources, and finding relevant information during incidents took a lot of time.

Now, various scattered information is integrated on the IRIS4 screen, allowing us to check operational status in real-time, significantly reducing concerns related to equipment management. Additionally, alerts are generated for the affected devices when issues arise, and we can immediately review existing operational histories, drastically shortening the time taken to identify the causes.

Overall, we have felt a significant improvement in work efficiency by minimizing the labor involved in identifying and investigating equipment.
