Sikurayer's Director Kim Gun-woo presents AI-based cybersecurity paradigm at 'STICK 2022'

Director Kim Gun-woo of Sikurayer's Technology Research Institute conducted a session presentation at the developer conference 'STICK 2022' on the topic 'Changes in the AI-based Cybersecurity Paradigm: SOAR, XDR, Zero Trust, ASM.'
Director Kim highlighted the past and present of AI-based cybersecurity technology and identified global cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies to counter evolving cyber attacks, including △SOAR △XDR △Zero Trust △ASM.
He stated, “In the field of cybersecurity, we began to actively incorporate AI technology starting in 2017,” and added, “Recently, the playbook-based 'SOAR', which automates security monitoring processes, is being actively adopted in security operation centers.”
‘SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response)’ is a solution that improves the slow response speed and low accuracy of personnel-based security monitoring through 'orchestration', 'automation', and 'response' technologies. A representative solution is Sikurayer's 'eyeCloudXAOR', and recently there is a trend to integrate DeTT&CT technology, which automatically matches MITRE ATT&CK attacks.
Kim noted, “With the expansion of remote work due to COVID-19, Zero Trust and ASM are once again gaining attention as cybersecurity technologies,” and explained, “Cybersecurity can be divided into two categories: 'defensive cybersecurity' and 'offensive cybersecurity.' Technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, and XDR fall under the former, while Zero Trust and ASM belong to the latter.”
He further emphasized, “To prevent digital disasters, cybersecurity must be positioned at the forefront of the technological war,” and stated, “To emerge as a cybersecurity powerhouse, collaboration between the public and private sectors is essential.”
