Securayer Secures SOAR Patents in Succession… "Targeting Foreign Solutions with AI"

Securayer (CEO Jeon Joo-ho) is enhancing its competitiveness in domestic security monitoring by securing multiple SOAR technology patents. On the 8th, Securayer announced that it has filed for two patents related to the Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) solution. The two patents include a playbook validation feature implemented with artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which is not offered by other SOAR solutions, and core technology for efficiently linking threat events between security devices. Kim Geon-woo, Director of Securayer's Technology Research Institute, stated, “Existing SOAR solutions are composed of components focused on threat event analysis and investigation of derived threat factors to implement playbooks.” He explained, “Our developed ‘eyeCloudXOAR’ can be considered a Korean-style SOAR as it implements and applies a security monitoring workflow specifically tailored for domestic Security Operations Centers (SOCs).” Since launching ‘eyeCloudXOAR’ in 2019, Securayer has been recognized for its technology and product viability by establishing SOAR solutions for various public and private institutions, including the National Information Resources Management Institute, the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. One of the features of using ‘eyeCloudXOAR’ is the ability to transfer threat events to related and subordinate agencies, as well as analysis and investigation tasks. Additionally, it can implement playbooks optimized for the domestic security monitoring and infrastructure environment, including features such as △feedback functionality △automatic situation propagation and sharing △linking with NCSC events from the National Information Resources Management Institute △integration with social media platforms like KakaoTalk and LINE. Kim Geon-woo emphasized, “The ultimate goal of ‘eyeCloudXOAR’ is to automate all security tasks to make security monitoring easy, fast, and accurate,” adding that the company will enhance the automation of policies for domestic and foreign security devices while strengthening its security monitoring competitiveness based on artificial intelligence.
