[ISEC 2023 Preview] SecureLayer

SecureLayer offers expanded SOAR capabilities in the domestic security monitoring environment with ‘eyeCloudXOAR’ SecureLayer (CEO Jeon Joo-ho) is enhancing its competitiveness in domestic security monitoring by securing patents for SOAR technology. The two patents filed implement a playbook validation feature using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which is not available in other SOAR solutions, and include core technology for efficiently linking threat events between security devices. SecureLayer's ‘eyeCloudXOAR’ is a product that holds seven related patents and has established SOAR solutions for major domestic institutions such as the National Information Resources Management Institute, the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), and various government ministries. Recently, in the cloud project of the National Information Resources Management Institute, it received perfect scores in all tests and surpassed the 3.99 million EPS (Events Per Second) barrier for the first time in Korea during performance testing. SecureLayer’s ‘eyeCloud Framework’ consists of 43 layers, including the ‘eyeCloud Platform’ responsible for the collection and storage of big data, the ‘eyeCloud App’ which is an application software based on a big data platform, and the ‘eyeCloud Model’ which includes content used by application software such as SIEM Rule Set, SOAR Playbook, and AI Model. ‘eyeCloud XOAR’ is a product that integrates SIEM and SOAR in the application software layer, representing the concept of eXtended SOAR. ‘eyeCloud XOAR’ allows for flexible vertical and horizontal scaling based on its excellent determinism. For vertical scaling, it can integrate with its AI product line, such as eyeCloud AI, to replace human resources in analysis and operations. For horizontal scaling, it can integrate data and tasks from information security, operations, and physical security to perform analyses and responses that were previously impossible. Meanwhile, the ‘17th International Security Conference (ISEC 2023)’, which has established itself as Asia's largest security conference beyond South Korea, will be held on September 19 and 20 at COEX in Seoul. In particular, ISEC 2023, now in its 17th year, will expand its venue to COEX Exhibition Hall (Hall C) and Conference Room (South, 3F) as it did last year, with participation from 200 institutions and companies from over 20 countries, and the competition has become richer with 16 tracks and 90 sessions. Additionally, during the event, the ‘ISEC 2023 Best Speaker Awards’ will be held to honor outstanding speakers selected through on-site voting, surveys, and video evaluations conducted by a panel of judges chosen from security officers and personnel. This initiative continuously aims to enhance the quality of content and the level of presentations. For more details, please refer to the ISEC website or contact the ISEC organizing committee.
