SecuLayer Partners with the Ministry of Science and ICT and KISA to Develop 'Open XDR Integrated Security Platform'

SecuLayer, a company specializing in AI-based big data analysis and automation solutions, is taking the lead in developing the next-generation 'Open (OPEN) Extended Detection and Response (XDR) Integrated Security Platform', which will serve as a core foundation for the K-Security Alliance. The Ministry of Science and ICT has entrusted SecuLayer's consortium with the development of the Open (OPEN) XDR Integrated Security Platform to establish a collaborative ecosystem among domestic security companies in response to the surge in cyber threats. Through this project in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), SecuLayer is expected to establish industry standards for information security data analysis and integrate domestic security technologies to complete a Korean model with global competitiveness. The Open (OPEN) XDR platform is anticipated to promote collaboration among domestic security companies and establish a joint threat response system among cybersecurity firms, thereby addressing long-standing challenges in the security industry and driving innovation. This project, which will take place from May to December 2024, has a total budget of 1.6 billion KRW and aims to develop a new type of security platform that integrates excellent security technologies in a private-led pilot project. SecuLayer will form a consortium with Genieus, SecuVista, and EnkiWhiteHat to develop the Open (OPEN) XDR Integrated Security Platform. As the leading company, SecuLayer will develop the Open (OPEN) XDR platform based on its own big data analysis solution, eyeCloud XOAR, and will be responsible for core technology development for data integration and overall project management. Participating companies Genieus, SecuVista, and EnkiWhiteHat will provide technologies and services in their respective areas of expertise, including endpoint security, network security, and threat intelligence, and will offer various analysis functions with guaranteed data integrity through data integration with the planned Open (OPEN) XDR Integrated Security Platform. Specifically, the platform will be developed based on Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), with plans to integrate Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Network Detection and Response (NDR). The Open (OPEN) XDR Integrated Security Platform will primarily utilize APIs to integrate various security modules and will develop functions such as data analysis, security policy linkage, monitoring and automated response, unified authentication, and advisory services. Additionally, it will define and design standards for linking Korean security data to ensure the integrity and practicality of security data and to reliably support data communication between related systems. Jeon Joo-ho, CEO of SecuLayer, stated, “Winning this K-Security Alliance project is expected to greatly contribute to the development of the domestic information security industry, and SecuLayer is anticipated to leap from a leading domestic company to a global leader,” adding, “We will do our best to develop the Open (OPEN) XDR platform in collaboration with the government and companies, contributing to strengthening the global competitiveness of domestic security technologies.” As the representative consortium company, SecuLayer has developed the first SIEM, SOAR, and AI-based next-generation security solutions in Korea and is a leading company in domestic security trends. It holds the largest number of SIEM+SOAR+AI references in Korea and provides customers with more effective and efficient security solutions by utilizing big data analysis, artificial intelligence, and machine learning technologies.
