Seculayer's SOAR solution eyeCloudXOAR shines at [SECON & eGISEC 2021]...

Seculayer (CEO Jeon Joo-ho) announced on the 13th that it is showcasing its SOAR solution ‘eyeCloudXOAR’ at the ‘SECON & eGISEC 2021’ event held from May 12.

From the 12th to the 14th, Seculayer is exhibiting its integrated security monitoring solution eyeCloudSIM, artificial intelligence platform eyeCloudAI, and Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) solution eyeCloudXOAR at KINTEX in Ilsan.

Among these, SOAR is a system that automates the analysis, detection, and response processes according to standardized response procedures (playbooks) based on the type of threat and the policies of the organization when a security threat occurs. This concept began to gain attention in South Korea around 2019.

eyeCloudXOAR is a solution that has successfully implemented the critical element of SOAR, which is ‘automation of threat response through playbooks’. In the event of a threat, most processes, including analysis via integrated Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), detection of false positives through AI service models, detection of anomalous behavior, and policy enforcement to integrated security devices, are executed automatically.

Notably, the security devices and cyber threat intelligence integrated with eyeCloudXOAR are diverse to the extent that they are unique in South Korea. It is notably integrated with security devices from leading domestic vendors such as AhnLab, SecuEye, Penta Security, Wins, and Konic Glory, and development has been completed for integration with numerous CTIs including IBM (X-Force), SOMANSA (Threat Data), EST Security (Threat Inside), and Akamai.

eyeCloudXOAR is utilized as the foundational system for the ‘AI-based adaptive security system’ operated by the National Information Resources Management Institute, which supports various e-government services for the public, including ‘Minwon24’. It is reported to have a scale and performance that is hard to find in similar cases in South Korea. Many visitors attended the promotional video screening of the implementation case and the SOAR/AI system seminar held at the Seculayer booth on the 12th.

Jeon Joo-ho, CEO of Seculayer, expressed his ambition, stating, “As interest in SOAR is increasing both domestically and internationally, we will continue to provide eyeCloudXOAR to various institutions and companies to improve the domestic security environment, as it is a proven solution by the National Information Resources Management Institute.”

Meanwhile, ‘SECON & eGISEC 2021’, also known as the ‘World Security Expo’, is the largest integrated security exhibition in South Korea, covering both physical and information security. Although it was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19, this year (the 20th edition) is being held under strict health guidelines. The Seculayer booth is located at ‘R02’ in Hall 5 of KINTEX, right in front of the entrance to Hall 5.
