Seculayer Completes Registration of 40 Patents in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Fields

Seculayer (CEO Jeon Joo-ho) announced on the 8th that it has completed the registration of a total of 13 patents so far this year. These patents relate to machine learning/artificial intelligence, big data, and cyber threat detection technologies, and are applied as foundational technologies for Seculayer's key solutions, eyeCloudAI and eyeCloudXOAR.

Founded in 2012, Seculayer has been in the patent application process since early 2017 with its self-developed technologies, and as of the end of last year, it had completed the registration of 25 domestic patents and 2 international patents. This year, it has added 12 domestic patents and 1 international patent, bringing the total number of patents registered since its founding to 40. This achievement comes five years after the start of its patent acquisition research.

Looking at the patents registered by Seculayer so far, it can be seen that in the early stages of research, the focus was primarily on big data, data processing, and threat analysis. Since the end of 2017, the majority of registrations have been related to machine learning technologies and methods for threat analysis/detection using artificial intelligence.

This trend in patent registration is similar to Seculayer's solution development process, which includes the big data collection, processing, and analysis platform eyeCloudSIM (SIEM), the AI platform eyeCloudAI that performs anomaly detection and security device analysis, and the security orchestration automation and response (SOAR) solution eyeCloudXOAR, which has been gaining attention since last year.

Yoo Jin-sang, Executive Director of Seculayer's R&D Lab, stated, “We will continue to secure more related patents with the machine learning, AutoML, and cyber threat detection technologies we have researched so far, and we plan to expand our investment for proactive technology acquisition.”

Meanwhile, Seculayer reported that this year it has been receiving inquiries and orders for eyeCloudAI and eyeCloudXOAR, which utilize related foundational technologies, from government agencies and financial institutions, and plans to significantly increase its hiring for related technology and business management.
