SecuLayer and SK Shieldus Present AI-Based Security 'Proactive Blocking' Strategy

As cyber attacks become increasingly sophisticated, SK Shieldus announced on the 26th that it introduced an integrated response strategy at the 'IDC Security Conference 2025' held on the 25th, linking an AI-based next-generation security monitoring platform with a 'Managed Detection and Response (MDR)' service capable of real-time threat detection and response.
SK Shieldus's AI-based security monitoring service goes beyond the role of traditional security monitoring (MSS) by performing real-time detection of initial movements such as reconnaissance, infiltration, and privilege escalation by hackers. While traditional security monitoring relied on known attack patterns to send post-event alerts, next-generation security monitoring uses AI to analyze logs and traffic in real-time, predicting threat indicators and issuing alerts immediately upon detection. This is similar to a military guard monitoring a CCTV feed who proactively responds upon spotting unusual behavior.
After detection, rapid analysis and response are conducted through MDR. MDR involves the primary monitoring team analyzing the anomalies captured by AI monitoring, followed by specialized security personnel performing detailed analysis and actual response measures based on this analysis. For example, if a hacker compromises an administrator account and accesses it from an unusual time or location, MDR will flag this as suspicious, detect it, and block it in real-time while also checking for any infections.
In particular, leveraging the capabilities of Top-CERT, a specialized organization with the most experience in responding to security incidents in the country, advanced responses reflecting industry-specific threat characteristics are provided. Companies or institutions that find it difficult to maintain separate security personnel can easily adopt this through a subscription model, effectively enhancing their security.
On this day, SK Shieldus also introduced its AI-based security monitoring platform 'Secudium' and the security solutions of its subsidiary 'SecuLayer'. SK Shieldus is gradually promoting enhancements to its security monitoring platform, including ▲replacement of the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) engine ▲introduction of Threat Response Automation (SOAR) ▲establishment of a Threat Impact Analysis System.
Kim Byung-moo, head of the Cybersecurity Division at SK Shieldus, stated, “In response to increasingly intelligent cyber threats, SK Shieldus is showcasing a security strategy centered on a proactive response system based on AI to protect our customers' business continuity,” and added, “We will organically connect our specialized incident response organization, MDR service, and AI-based security monitoring platform to create a safe digital environment.”
